Job title: STORE MANAGER

Job Summary and Mission:
This job contributes to Red Buffalo Coffee & Tea success by working directly with the owner in leading the team to create and maintain the café’s mission statement of providing quality service and products to customers in a warm and welcoming environment. The store manager is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the store.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
· Setting goals for the group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together.
· Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events and manages smooth transitions thereafter to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
· Displays a “customer comes first” attitude by training and holding team members accountable for delivering legendary customer service.
· Develops action plans and directly motivates and instructs team to implement organizational objectives.
· Manages with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission or Red Buffalo Coffee & Tea.
· Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations and empower fellow employees to action
· Provide coaching and direction to the team to take action to achieve operational goals. Constantly review store environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching and direction to the store team to achieve operational goals.
Ø Team Leader will prepare and host staff for Herd Nights. Herd Nights, while designed to be fun and team building will also have a sense of purpose and direction that furthers the groups development.
Ø Team Leaders will prepare monthly newsletters to keep staff informed of changes, updates, and general communication.
Planning and Execution
· Monitors and manages store staffing levels to ensure team development and talent acquisition to achieve and maintain store operational requirements
· Utilizing existing tools to identify and prioritize communications. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations.
Ø Team Leader will make schedule for staffing.
Ø Team Leader will communicate hiring and personnel needs to leadership team.
Promoting
· Continually promotes Red Buffalo’s mission and vision while at and while outside of the café
· Identifies new marketing opportunities that expand the business brand.
Ø Team Leader will contract catering opportunities for the coffee trike.
Ø Team Leader will arrange promotional agreements with VRBOs.
Ø Team Leader will execute catering for Town events and other private organizations.
Team Development
· Provide team members with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities.
o Actively manages the team by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve partner performance.
o Challenges and inspires team to achieve business results.
o Develops and maintains positive relationships with the team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
o Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing tools and programs as well as by finding new, creative and effective methods of recognition.

Ø Team Leader will perform quarterly reviews and check ins with all staff.
Daily Duties
· Prepare and coach preparation of food beverages to standard or customized for customers.
o Craft quality espresso drinks using SCAA protocols
o Maintain efficiency while maintaining quality beverages and services in a busy/clean station.
o Ensure quality control through increased attention to detail.
· Participate in daily operations such as banking, providing customer service, cleaning, and assisting customers with complaints.
Ø Team Leader will assist in ordering of product and supplies as needed.
Ø Team Leader will fulfill supplies and schedule shortages as needed, even if this falls outside of regularly scheduled shift hours.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
